Golden Gloves Boxing Gym was the first dedicated boxing gym in Shanghai.

We are very proud of the warm and welcoming community that we have built over the last 8 years.

Our coaches have introduced amateur boxing to over 15,000 people in Shanghai through our fun and safe training programs and white collar boxing fight nights.

Ricky Leung
Ricky LeungWeBox Coach Level 3
Ricky led the Hong Kong police boxing council to win a gold medal at the world police boxing championships and boxed with the Chinese National Team.

He aims to help develop his students’ confidence, boxing ability and help them to achieve their fitness goals. Ricky has trained thousands of amateur boxing students in Shanghai.

Raymond Wen
Raymond WenWeBox Coach Level 1
Raymond stems from a rich background of general training in martial arts and health fitness. He holds a black belt in karate, trained from 1993-1996 and has served in the Chinese special forces from 1997-2000.
Raymond then continued his career as a fitness coach from 2001-2005, and was awarded 4th Place as Mr. Fitness in 2004.

Baj has been a coach at Golden Gloves since 2013 encompassing seven Brawl on the Bund and Shanghai Fight Night events.

He gained his coaching accreditation in the UK and subsequently put it into practice there, before coaching in Shanghai. He has learned from some great trainers in Shanghai, Thailand and The Philippines. In 2016, he was in the boxing mecca of Cuba where he was embedded in a gym for over a month learning their unique approach to the sport.
